I am the author of the forthcoming story collection His Eye Is On The Sparrow (High Frequency Press) and I have been awarded the Skywave Fiction Prize, the Hackney Award, the Alabama Writers Conclave Award, and a fellowship from the United States Department of Education. My work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and has been published in over a dozen publications. I received my MFA in Writing from Columbia University, and I currently teach at The University of Alabama in the Department of English.
